Onyekachi Apam

He began his career with Enugu Rangers in 2004, where he showcased his immense talent as a defender in the Nigerian Premier League.

In 2006, Apam moved to OGC Nice to Stade Rennes in France, where he played for three seasons before signing with RL lens in 2008. Apam quickly established himself as a key player for Nice, making 105 appearances for the club in Ligue 1. He was known for his tenacity, speed, and excellent reading of the game, making him a reliable presence at the back for his team.

Apam's impressive performances for Nice led to his selection to the Nigerian national team, where he made 14 appearances and helped the team win a silver medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He was also part of the Nigerian squad that played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In 2010, Apam transferred to Stade Rennes, where he played for four seasons and made 23 appearances. While his time at Rennes was less successful than his stint at Nice, he continued to showcase his defensive abilities and was a respected presence in the team's defense.

Onyekachi Apam, in addition to his successful playing career, has also been actively involved in coaching and training young soccer players. After retiring from professional soccer, Apam took up coaching and began working with teams in France.

He started coaching a team called Baous, where he trained players in the U10 to U13 age group. In addition to team coaching, Apam also focused on individual and specific training from 2016 to 2019.

In 2019, Apam joined his former professional club, OGC Nice, as a coach. He worked with the U17 to second team in the morning, and in the afternoon, he focused on coaching players in the U12 to U15 age group. Apam believes that working with younger players in this age group is where the foundation for future success in soccer is built.

Apart from team coaching, Apam also conducts summer soccer camps and holiday camps, providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills and passion for the sport.

Apam's dedication to coaching and mentoring young players demonstrates his commitment to the development of soccer at the grassroots level and his desire to contribute to the growth of the sport beyond his playing days.

Our Camp Overview

AlianzaSports Soccer Camp

This unique soccer camp experience brings South American Coaches to New Mexico. The combined experience of these player/coaches at National and International World Cups, brings elite soccer education to our youth and elite players here in New Mexico. Scholarships are available so please contact us to register.

The focus is on how to develop the highest caliber soccer player. Coaching focus is placed on technical development of movement preparation, biomechanics, technique of touch, and tactical foundations for each position on the field.

Your player will develop dramatically, and leave with a more profound understanding of the game of soccer by being coached and mentored by players who've been at all levels of elite soccer.
